Hire all or part of Stardome, including telescopes! Our space includes the immersive full-dome planetarium theatre, gallery & exhibits space, the Space Room, and the Matariki Room. Contact us to discuss your requirements and we can tailor the experience to suit. Stardome offers:

• The Stardome planetarium cinema: a unique 75-seat cinema space with comfortable reclined seats and a giant 360-degree domed screen above.
• Two function rooms (The Space Room and The Matariki Room), which can be configured as you choose.
• An engaging gallery and exhibits area.
• Evening courtyard telescope viewing (weather permitting).

	PLANETARIUM THEATRE Hire Auckland's only planetarium theatre. A private planetarium show in our 360-degree immersive cinema theatre with reclined seats is a very special experience.  Explore the cosmos with a presenter-led show, select a film from our extensive library, or enjoy a music experience with laser lights! We can tailor the experience to suit your audience.  CAPACITY Planetarium Theatre: 75 seats. 3 seats are removable to accommodate wheelchairs.
GALLERY & EXHIBITS HIRE The Stardome gallery space is an excellent area for product launches or as a reception area. There's plenty of room for portable banners, displays and signage.  Please note we are unable to serve alcohol on site at Stardome. CAPACITY Foyer & galleries: 100
	THE SPACE ROOM* The Space Room is a conference room ideal for larger workshops or conferences. *Space Room hire is included in full venue hire only CAPACITY Seated theatre-style: 87 Seated meal: 70
THE MATARIKI ROOM The Matariki Room is a light, airy space with views of One Tree Hill Domain. It's ideal for meetings, conferences, team days, or functions. Room hire includes all audio-visual equipment including data projector, large screen, WiFi, TV, and whiteboard. There is access to a private kitchen suitable for external catering staff to use. Minimum three-hour hire.    CAPACITY (SEATING STYLE) Classroom: 30 people Theatre: 45 people Seated meal: 30 people Boardroom: 25 people Please note we are unable to serve alcohol on site at Stardome.

DO YOU OFFER BAR SERVICE?

We do not offer a licensed bar service and are unable to serve alcohol on the premises.

IS THERE A KITCHEN WE CAN USE?

We have a fully equipped catering kitchen that is available for your use. This includes steriliser, microwave, oven and boiling water urn. For up to 30 guests, we can provide cutlery, crockery and serving accessories such as coffee plungers, water and milk jugs.

CAN WE USE THE SPACE OUTSIDE STARDOME? 

During the day, you can use the area behind Stardome. At night, if the weather is clear, we will have courtyard telescopes out for you to look at the night sky.

WHAT CAN I PLAY ON THE PLANETARIUM SCREEN? 

We have an extensive catalogue of films and presenter-led shows to choose from.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is free parking outside Stardome or on Haydn Ave, off Manukau Road (there is a pathway connecting Haydn Ave to Stardome). 90 minute parking is available in other areas of One Tree Hill Domain & Cornwall Park.

If visiting in the evening, please be aware that the lower playground carpark (next to Manukau Road) is locked after 7pm. (The lower carpark and 90 minute parking areas are operated by Auckland Council, not Stardome).
