VENUE HIRE: BIRTHDAY PARTIES FOR KIDS

A birthday party at Stardome is a unique way to mark a special occasion. Party hire includes use of the Matariki Room, access to a fully-equipped private kitchen, unlimited access to our foyer exhibitions, and seats in the planetarium to see one of our 360-degree immersive shows.

• Price: $310 + GST (minimum booking for 15 children and two adults)
• Two slots available: Morning 9.30am-1pm, or Afternoon 2pm-5.30pm
• Maximum capacity of Matariki Room for birthday parties: 40 people

FAQs

WHAT PLANETARIUM SHOW CAN I WATCH? 

Your party will join in with a public planetarium show that is playing during your booking period. We'll match you up to the show that best suits the age group.

CAN I DECORATE THE ROOM?

Yes. We ask that you use Blu-tack and not tape or pins, and that our technical and technical equipment are not disturbed. Please allow time within the 3.5 hour slot for set-up and pack-down. Stardome requests that any excess rubbish or food waste is taken with you.

CAN I PLAY MUSIC? 

Absolutely! You can use our system or bring your own system along to play music in the Matariki Room.
